MyONLINE PASSPORT
In order to provided better services and efficiency, Immigration Malaysia has
implemented online passport renewal beginning of 1st September 2016. Malaysian
Passport online renewal can be done in MyONLINE PASPORT website (MyIMMs -
e-Services).
Terms & Conditions
1. Applicant must be 13 years of age and above, who has been issued with a
Malaysia Passport (passport with chip). The existing passport must be in good
condition.
2. Applicant must fill in all the relevant information as required in the
application page. Any false or inaccurate information given during the
application will be rejected and liable for legal action under the Section
12(1)(c) Passport Act 1966 (Act 150).
3. For applicants aged 13 and below 18: ONLY the legal guardian who has given
prior consent during the previous application can apply through the online
renewal. The legal guardian must be present with the applicant during the
collection of the passport. The passport will not be delivered to the applicant
if the legal guardian fails to be present. For applicant below 18 years old,
birth certificate is needed and legal guardian need to be present.
4. Applicant must upload their recent passport photograph as required with the
specifications as mentioned above.
5. Payment can be made via credit card or direct debit.
6. Applicant must present him/herself at the Immigration office for collection
of his/her passport. No representatives allowed. Applicant must bring along with
their Identity Card, existing passport and receipt. Failure to submit
documents/or being physically present to collect passport, will cause the
passport not being allowed to be collected.
7. Application for renewal under normal circumstances only. Applicants whose
passport are lost or damaged are not allowed to apply online.
8. The passport must be in good conditions (no stain, exposes to water or torn)
and with chip.
9. A citizen who violates the law is not eligible to apply online.
Issuance Office and Collection Time
The applicant must present to the selected Immigration Office for passport
collection. Passport collection centre can be selected in the system during
application process. Collection date and time will be determined by the system
according to the date and time of application. It will be stated on the receipt.
Payment
Payment for the passport fees can be made online via credit card or direct debit
with online banking.
Passport Photograph
The passport photograph (softcopy) submitted during online passport application
MUST:
• The background colour of the photo must be WHITE. Other background colours
will be REJECTED.
• Full face view directly facing the camera with natural facial expression.
• Applicant must wear dark coloured clothing covering the shoulder and chest.
• Ladies wearing head cover or hijab must wear dark colours preferably black.
Their face must be visible.
• Not wearing glasses, coloured contact lenses and head/hair accessories.
• The uploaded photo must be in the form of softcopy. Check for the
Malaysia Passport Photos Specification.
Remarks
1. If there is a problem making your payment, one needs to check with the bank
as the payment process with regards to the bank.
2. If there is a problem with the uploading of image, one can come to the
Immigration Office to retrieve the Collection Office.
3. If the application receives the message 'Please Refer to the Immigration
Office', it means that your application cannot be made online due to:
3.1. Your stored fingerprint is damaged / missing and must be retrieved so that
there will be no problem during fingerprint detection at the entrance / exit;
3.2. You do not meet the requirements stated on the 'MyOnline * Passport'
website;
3.3. The information entered is inaccurate / contradictory in the system.
4. For the collection of renewed passport, please bring along with:
4.1. MyKad (identification card)
4.2. Existing Malaysian International Passport
4.3. Payment receipt issued by the system
4.4. For underaged applicants : Parent(s) / legal guardian(s) and Birth
Certificate
