Only a few Malaysian Missions overseas are given the authority to issue
traveling documents / passports to Malaysians abroad. At the moment, besides
Singapore, other Missions given the authority to issue Malaysian Passport are
in Canberra,
Hong
Kong,
Jakarta,
London and
New York.
To apply for the Malaysian International Passport, there is a form that has
to be filled. Form Im.42-pin 1/97. The form can be obtained from any
Malaysia Immigration office or downloaded from Malaysia Immigration
Department website (Should be printed both side on white A4 size paper).
Applicants have to come in person to the Mission. Supporting documents
required for the application are:
Three (3) passport sized photograph (blue background).
Identification documents
that confirms the applicant’s citizenship i.e. Birth Certificates,
Identification Card, Certificate of Citizenship and the old passport (for
renewal case).
Malaysia Passport will be
issued on the same day.
